REGENCY METROPOLITAN DISTRICT OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE ON THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
June 2026
(THIS IS A SEPARATE ENTITY FROM THE HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION)
The Board of Directors of Regency Metropolitan District would like to notify residents of an opportunity to serve on the Board. The District is seeking interested, qualified candidates to fill two vacant positions.
The District is a quasi-municipal corporation and a political subdivision of the State of Colorado. The District was organized in 2006 to finance and construct certain public infrastructure (e.g., streets, water and sewer improvements) for the use and benefit of residents within the Regency Subdivision. The District’s ongoing responsibilities are to repay bonds issued to finance the improvements and to provide statutorily required management and administrative functions of the District, such as adopting an annual budget and financial audit. Revenue to fund these activities comes from District property taxes, which are levied and collected on property within the District.
To qualify to serve as a Director, you must be (i) registered to vote in the State of Colorado and (ii) a resident of the District or own (or be the spouse of an owner of) taxable real or personal property within the District.
The Board conducts two regularly scheduled meetings at which it takes action on official District business and an annual community meeting to update residents on District activities. The next regular meeting and community meeting will be held on October 7, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., by remote means (e.g., teleconference and/or videoconference). Meeting(s) usually run for approximately one hour. Special meetings are scheduled as necessary. Meetings are open to the public.
Additional information related to the District can be found on the District’s website at: https://regencymd.specialdistrict.org/.
